Bio:
Venkatram Vishwanath is a computer scientist at Argonne National Laboratory. He is the AI Lead at the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF). His research interests span algorithms, architectures, and system software to facilitate data-centric applications on novel architectures. His current focus includes scaling data-driven science applications on high-performance computing systems, and in the design future systems, including beyond von Neumann-based architectures, to meet the needs of science. He has received best paper awards at venues including HPDC and CCGRID, and more recently, in 2022, won the ACM Gordon Bell special prize.
