Bio:
Ron Oldfield manages the Scientific Machine Learning department in the Center
for Computing Research at Sandia National Laboratories. He received a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico in 1993, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Dartmouth College in 2003. Ron has programmatic roles as the deputy lead for the Computational Systems and Software Environment (CSSE) sub-program of the Advanced Simulation and Computing (ASC) program at Sandia and manages projects in I/O, Data Management, and Advanced Machine Learning. He
has more than 40 peer-reviewed publications and is a member of IEEE and ACM.
