Edoardo Paone joined CSCS in 2023 in the Scientific Software Engineering unit. He is part of the team developing GT4Py, a Python-DSL to define stencil computations for numerical weather prediction models. His focus is on application optimization for parallel heterogeneous platforms.
Edoardo holds a PhD in software engineering from Politecnico di Milano. Before CSCS, he worked several years in the mobile networks industry, developing the software components for scheduling and resource allocation of 5G radio access network.
