Bio:
David Bernholdt is a Distinguished R&D Staff Member at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). His research interests, generally involve making it easier and more productive to create and use computational science and engineering software on the largest high-performance computer systems, broadly speaking. He has leadership roles in DOE’s developing software stewardship initiative (Next-Generation Scientific Software Technologies) and lead’s the Programming Environment and Tools area of the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF). His work is also informed by his extensive experience with computational science and engineering application projects, primarily through the DOE Scientific Discovery through Advanced Computing (SciDAC) program.
