Demitri Maestas is a senior member of research and development staff at Sandia National Labs, where he leads a Large Language Model portfolio. He received his Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico and his Masters of Science in Computer Science with a focus in machine learning from The Georgia Institute of Technology. He has been published in Nature’s partner journal Materials Degradation, The Journal of Computational Materials Science, and The Journal of The Electrochemical Society. He is also a key organizer of Sandia’s annual Machine Learning and Deep Learning Workshop, and an avid participant in the many community events Sandia hosts.
